Learning letters with flashcards

Many children learn lower case letters first, since most of what they read is lower case. The letter sounds set pairs each letter with its sound and a picture word, which helps with early reading.

Mix in a few known letters with each new one so every session ends on a win.

Printing the cards

  1. Open a set and download the PDF.
  2. Print double-sided and choose "flip on long edge".
  3. Cut along the dashed lines. Each answer is on the back of its own card.
