Learning numbers with flash cards
Show the number side and ask "what number is this?" Once the numbers come easily, turn the cards over and read the number words, which is great practice for early readers.
For 1 to 100, work in tens: one row of the hundred chart at a time. Counting to 100 by ones and by tens is a kindergarten goal in the Common Core.
Printing the cards
- Open a set and download the PDF.
- Print double-sided and choose "flip on long edge".
- Cut once down the middle, then across the rows. Each answer is on the back of its own card.
